Born and raised in Long Island, New York, Matt Neglia received a Communication Arts degree from New York Institute of Technology (NYIT) with a concentration in cinema studies. Wanting to share his love of film with the rest of the world, he created his own website in 2016 titled NextBestPicture.com. The site’s goal is not only to provide reviews for visitors in both written and podcast formats but also to analyze a film’s awards potential and discover if it will be the next Best Picture Oscar winner. A writer, podcast producer, host, and editor, Matt is always seeking out high-quality, diverse storytelling that strengthens his passion for the cinematic medium and will hopefully inspire others to keep searching for the next great film coming to their local cinema.
