A smash hit at Cannes, Jordan Firstman’s debut feature film stars Firstman himself as Peter, a fixture on the New York City club circuit who has maybe stayed at the party a bit too long. When Peter learns that he has a son from a drug-fueled hookup over a decade ago, his life finally begins to change. The film also stars Diego Calva, Cara Delevingne, Kirby Howell-Baptiste, and Reggie Absolom as Peter’s son Arlo. Picked up by A24 following its Cannes premiere, Club Kid is one of the studio’s clear awards season priorities, with stops at the Toronto and Telluride film festivals as well as a range of smaller regional festivals.
